Message

Research interests range widely for a variety of physiologically active compounds in nature. Especially in order to demonstrate the chemical ecology, analysis and synthesis are my main tools. We are currently under investigation concerning pheromones and allelochemials in marine organisms.

Many citrus fruits and herbs are found all over the world, and the essential oils are widely utilized in foods and beverages, and as fragrances in cosmetics. The essential oils can have relaxing or stimulant effect for humans. Our odor descriptions and its physiological analyses make it possible to find the relationships between odor and the human brain.

I wish for students to realize the importance and joy of research by way of our studies and to enjoy their own learning. I would like to contribute to local communities and international society through our research and its practical knowledge.
